Delicious, aromatic jackfruit
Bought six pounds of jackfruit a few days ago. Here’s half of that. I’ve been eating it nonstop. The sweet, candy smell fills my kitchen. I placed half on counter, half in fridge. One morning I mixed with soaked cashews and bananas. Price was $1 per pound. What a deal! Granted, the weight includes the inedible exterior and the white parts between the yellow. This one, fortunately, was mostly the yellow edible portion. Just today I realized a better way to access the yellow bulbs: cut off the core, and bend back the rine. Don’t forget to remove the seed in the bulb.
